• Sailing area
• Lake Wolfgangsee is one oft the most popular sailing areas in Austria
• with a beautiful natural landscape combined with excellent infra-
  structure for sailing.
• There is a thermical breeze, called „Brunnwind“ and there are also
  westerly and southerly winds.
  
  Organizing Club
• The Union Yacht Club Wolfgangsee lookes on a history of more
  than 120 years (founded 1901) with a lot of successful sailors in
  international und national competitions.
  
  Victories
• Members of the Union Yacht Club Wolfgangsee won 3 medals at
  olympic sailing events (1 Gold, 2 Silver medals) and titles and
  medals at World and European Championships.
  
  Infrastructure
• Marina for about 40 boats
• good parking facilities for cars, trailers and small camping cars
• very fine touristic infrastructure in the region
• adequate overnight accomodation possibilities in the village of
  St. Gilgen
