Winterseries am Braassemermeer
Dear J22 sailors!

The Watersport Vereniging Braassemermeer is organising the winterseries for sportsboats and the first event is planned for Sunday 20 Oct. This year, the Dutch J22 Class Association reinstates an old tradition by organising training sessions each Saturday before the races on Sunday.

The training is given by a competent coach, who provides class room briefing and debriefing and on the water coaching from a RIB. Our fixed trainer is Ben Koppelaar (Dinghycoach.nl) who has experience in training the national laser team and in the Melges 24. We have also tricked two old-J22-foxes for a guest training given by Falko Braun who trained the J22 teams from Sailing Club Rheingau and Ronald Veraar who won European Championships in both J22 and M24. Training will start at about 10h30 to allow for craning beforehand and will last till about the end of the afternoon.

The attached flyer provides you with the following dates for the training: 19 Oct, 16Nov, 14 Dec, 18 Jan, 8 Feb and 15 Mar.

The costs are 40 euro per training per team and 175 euro for the entire series of 6 trainings. You can register by responding to this email address trainingen@j22.nl

Hopefully the combination of training on Saturday and races on Sunday provides teams with two good reasons to travel to the Braassem this winter.
